What drove Qudhmiye to display fake tears during the Agabar funeral? The answer lies in hypocrisy.

Dear reader, the Somali proverb says: "What restrains a mad person today, is a lesson tomorrow for one who has repented.” This is profoundly true. Qudhmiye is only ever consistent when it comes to creating division and spreading chaos among the people of Somaliland. There is nothing else that unites his group. The proof? Just yesterday, it was revealed that they were behind the killings and unrest that took place in Agabar.

Evidence of this is clear. Those led by Qudhmiye—who are always embroiled in internal strife—couldn’t even come together for a proper funeral for the two martyrs whom they themselves helped drive to their deaths. They couldn't agree on who would represent them, with conflict over leadership between the party chair and the presidential candidate. Their true intent was to stir up emotions in the region, and they succeeded. It all happened right before our eyes.

Another Somali proverb says: "If I’m not involved in blood or conflict, I can’t sit still.” While violence broke out and journalists were harassed—one even had his microphone snatched by Khalif (Xaliye)—Qudhmiye and his people still tried to capitalize on the situation to make a political comeback. They naively believe that division among clans is their path back into politics. But this is no longer the case—people have awakened to their games. No one is listening to them anymore.

As the proverb goes: "Even calamity becomes a habit.” It is indeed true. Once someone becomes used to spreading harm or grows up in it, they can rarely be reformed. These are the same people, led by the man who once uttered, "Are you one of the real men left?” Qudhmiye was clearly the ringleader, inciting the clan from which the two deceased came (may Allah have mercy on them). It’s undeniable—they were the ones who created the tension that led to the deaths.

Now, let’s look at the facts. The company digging at the site in question was awarded the contract on May 13, 2023. Ask yourself: Was CIRRO president at that time? Of course not. So why are the local residents only now rising up in protest? This is a question that deserves an honest answer.

Furthermore, all the key figures of Qudhmiye have now aligned. Isn’t that hypocrisy? Isn’t that just for show—"Look at me! Hear me!”—with no real purpose or sincerity?
