The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, Mr. Gideon Sa’ar, formally received the President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Cirro), and the delegation he is leading, as they continued the second day of their official visit to Israel.
The meeting, held at the headquarters of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, focused on strengthening the friendship, cooperation, and shared interests between the Republic of Somaliland and the State of Israel. Particular attention was given to opportunities for collaboration in the fields of security, social development, economic growth, investment, technology, and enhancing people-to-people relations between the two nations.
During the meeting, President Abdirahman Cirro and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar delivered remarks of significant diplomatic importance, jointly reaffirming their commitment to deepening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across multiple sectors. Both sides underscored the importance of building a partnership founded on mutual respect, shared interests, and sustainable development.

Following the historic discussions, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar hosted a luncheon in honor of President Abdirahman Cirro and his delegation at the Ministry’s headquarters, further highlighting the warm and constructive nature of the engagement between the two sides.
