The weekly report of the Somaliland Government highlighted key issues related to politics, security, the economy, and public services, following the 61st Cabinet meeting chaired by President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Cirro).

The report noted that President Cirro departed on a private trip to the United Arab Emirates, while the Vice President briefed the Cabinet on a 20-day peace mission to the Awdal and Selel regions, which was described as having concluded successfully with improved stability and mutual understanding.

The Cabinet also reviewed the country’s health situation, with reports indicating outbreaks of measles and diarrhea in some regions. In addition, discussions were held on the impact of rising global fuel prices on electricity costs in the country.

On the development front, various ministries are implementing plans that include building modern livestock facilities, establishing grazing reserves to protect livestock, and carrying out water development projects across different regions. Efforts to strengthen international cooperation in health and economic development were also emphasized.

Overall, the report reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to improve public services, boost economic growth, and maintain national stability, while continuing to advance its broader development agenda.
