The former president of Hir-Shabelle Regional State Mohamed Abdi Waare has called for a dialogue to change the political conflict between Somaliland and the people of Lasaanood, which caused the two sides to fight and attack each other.
Waare described the heavy bombing of Lasaanood City as tragedy as dialogue could be found without war and artillery that could be agreed upon by the parties fighting for control of the Sool Regional Center in Lasaanood.
Mohamed Abdi Waare has accused the administration of President Muse Bihi Abdi of having committed greater violations in Lasanod than the military government, saying that after 30 years, his administration is causing problems and violating human rights.
"What happened and people bombed and starved to death and that the war continues today is a tragedy. Conflicts and misunderstandings happens, humans have tongue and teeth that very close to each other and they bite each other but it is prioritized on how to resolve conflicts. Thinking of conflict as a solution is very unfortunate.”Waare
The former president of Hir-Shabelle Mohamed Abdi Waare has suggested President Muse Bihi his government to seek dialogue to restore calm, if he insists the conflict he will inherit problems that will continue in this world and the hereafter.
Various calls were sent to the warring parties in Lasanood but they did not pay attention. The war that started on February 6, 2023 resulted in deaths, injuries, displacement and destruction, and the warring parties are still facing each other.
