The 2019 University of Hargeisa Medal Goes to MU President
Prof. Kindeya Gebrehiwot received the 2019 University of Hargeisa Medal Award, from the President of Somaliland, H.E. Musa Bihi, for his efforts in strengthening institutional partnership between MU & UoH during the 16th colorful graduation celebration today.
The president of Somaliland appreciated the support of Mekelle University in capacity building for Somaliland in general and the University of Hargeisa in particular!
This is a big success for MU and shows our commitment for international partnership. During the graduation Prof. Kindeya made a speech, thanked the UoH & assured to further strengthen the ongoing partnership. In the presence of the President of Somaliland, Vice President of Academics & Research of UoH, Ass. Prof Seid, read the contribution of MU in the partnership with UoH.
More than 50 staff of UoH are pursuing their education at Mekelle Uni. Joint LLM academic programs have been started between MU and UoH. There are also more students from Somaliland at MU from other organizations. The ceremony was attended by high ranking Ministers, dignitaries, graduates & families .
