Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi "Irro” has promoted 525 officers from the Somaliland Police Force in a major step aimed at strengthening the country’s security institutions and boosting the morale of the police service.

 

The promotions are part of ongoing efforts to improve the capacity, professionalism and effectiveness of Somaliland’s security forces.

 

Somaliland Police Commissioner Brig. Gen. Abdirahman Abdullahi Hassan congratulated the newly promoted officers and praised President Irro for approving the advancement.

 

The Police Commissioner said the promotions would encourage officers to continue serving the nation with dedication, discipline and professionalism.

 

He also urged the promoted officers to strengthen their commitment to protecting public safety, maintaining law and order, and serving the people of Somaliland responsibly.

 

The move has been welcomed by members of the police force and is seen as part of broader efforts to reinforce Somaliland’s security and institutional development.
