Minister Fu’aad Ahmed Nouh stated that if Djibouti truly wishes to pursue Somali unity, it should first reconsider its own statehood and then go to Mogadishu to witness the realities there.

He questioned why Somaliland should bear the burden of the Somali unity issue, emphasizing that Somaliland has already established its own path of governance and stability.

According to the minister, the matter should not be placed on Somaliland’s shoulders alone, suggesting that those advocating Somali unity should first examine their own political commitments and circumstances.
