The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Cirro), speaking on his own behalf, on behalf of the Government, and on behalf of the people of Somaliland, extends his warm congratulations and appreciation to all the honorable women of the Republic of Somaliland on the occasion of International Women’s Day, celebrated on March 8.

The President clearly acknowledges the remarkable and unforgettable role that Somaliland women have played in building peace, strengthening social unity, advancing economic development, promoting education, and supporting the democratic process in our country.

The President also noted that during the national struggle, the reconstruction of the country, the establishment of state institutions, and the development of society, the women of Somaliland have played a historic and vital role that will always be remembered.

Furthermore, the President reassures the women of Somaliland that his government remains fully committed to strengthening the role of women in governance and ensuring greater opportunities for their participation in all areas of national development.

Finally, the President of the Republic of Somaliland once again extends his heartfelt congratulations to all Somaliland women, both at home and abroad, praising their courage, dedication, and the significant contributions they continue to make toward the existence, peace, and bright future of our nation.
