The Minister of the Presidency of Somaliland, Khadar Hussein Abdi, has spoken about the possibility of future security cooperation between Somaliland and Israel in an interview with Bloomberg.

The minister stated that discussions about establishing a military base in Somaliland have not yet taken place officially. However, he noted that such an issue could be analyzed and evaluated in the future if the need arises.

Khadar Hussein Abdi also indicated that Somaliland is interested in developing strategic security relations with Israel, which could potentially expand into broader areas of cooperation.

He added that any future partnership could involve various forms of collaboration, particularly in matters related to security and strategic interests between the two sides.
