Since Somalia has violated the management agreement concerning the Somaliland–Somalia airspace by unilaterally introducing an unlawful e-visa system targeting the Somaliland diaspora, it is evident that Somalia has exceeded its jurisdiction.

It is widely recognized that Somalia has neither exercised administrative nor sovereign control over Somaliland since 1991 and therefore lacks any legitimate authority over Somaliland’s airspace.

Consequently, Somaliland retains the right to submit a formal complaint to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) regarding the management and control of the Somaliland–Somalia airspace.

This action aims to ensure that airspace management is conducted in a fair and lawful manner until Somaliland attains official recognition from the international community. Hadhwanaagnews
