This country is now exposed to security

There is a country called Somaliland that has regained its independence, which they lost in 1960 due to their union with other Somalia. This country, which is not recognized internationally, has since begun to approach to join the international community after they built their country and its entity both economically and politically that naturally comes, as God has blessed this country with all natural resources. It may need to bring in investment companies.

This country is now exposed to security pressures from those closest to it, namely the federal government of Somalia and also Djibouti, which believes that the new entity may threaten its economic interests, which are represented by thier port.

Djibouti considers port of Berbera as a barrier that could paralyze their commercial activity.

This conspiracy against Somaliland has been in place since the Republic of Somaliland declared to retain their independence.

The threads of the conspiracy have begun to become clear, such that they are waging wars. This is what happened in Las Anoud region, where they took advantage of those tribes that oppose the government. Federal government and Djibouty, they want the recent agreement , the so-called memorandum of understanding between Somaliland and Ethiopia to fail. This agreement might be in the final stages and will be signed soon between two countries.

Already the preparations for the big occasion is begun.This agreement gives Ethiopia full access to have a water corridor in Somaliland, which solves Ethiopia’s economic problems due to the lack of a water corridor with Ethiopia, in return of that , Ethiopia will announce the recognition of the Republic of Somaliland. They will be the first country who is ready to take that step.

This is the only thing ( recognition) Somaliland people waiting for almost 33 years , global international recognition.

Now, Djibouti and the federal government have begun to form militias against this republic to destabilise the Republic of Somaliland. The international community must know that what is being plotted against this republic will not stop only there, but may affect all Somali lands from north to south, especially the failed federal government which still under the forces of the United Nations. Donor countries must know that this government, which receives aid in order to end its internal conflicts, including the AL SHABAB movement, has directed its efforts against the instability of the Republic of Somaliland.

Paying attention to the agreement (MOU), experts believe that it will raise the level of economy in the region and will also improve the security of the region through dealings between its peoples, especially between the two countries.
