I am deeply concerned about what

happened in Somaliland on Sool ( Las-Anod) and the other two peaceful demonstration occasions held by the opposition parties at the rest of S/Land, especially in Haregeisa, Burao,Awdal & Erigavo, which was caused unnecessary deaths and injuries of innocent civilians, expressing their views peacefully on their country’s democratic journey. Somaliland solder's authorities created an unprecedented action that transgressed against democracy and human rights.

In fact this man at " Xaafad-tooyo" Is bigotry person, who always expresses and emphasise unreasonable beliefs because he don't like those who want to exercise justice, freedom of speech, equality for all and democracy. The only thing that cares is his family circles ( I mean his family including in-laws & those do serves for his own business in admistration).

It is unfortunate that a fundamental rights enshrined in the constitution of Somaliland has been ignored and trampled on by the police and officials in the circle. Excessive use of force by police on protestors, live artillery gunshots, wounds and arrest of leading opposition figures, an unwarranted beating of a civilians.

Politically, the country is facing a number of challenges, including power abuses at the highest rank within Somaliland government including law enforcement agencies who culturally believe that the head of the state uses them as he wishes. The question is " Why those Blaming Ade-Gude were not apologised, When This this soldier massacring innocent civilians while they are buried in mass graves, tortured or imprisoned and remained quiet but senselessly shouting now against what our Holy Qu'ran said.

0ver 200 civlians were killed in Las-Anod, 7 people in Hargeisa, 4 in Awdal, 5 In Burao, and 3 at Erigavo, including a disable man on a wheel chair shot by soldier's enforcement agencies in Erigavo at Sanaag province.

Over 1000 people were injured, while some of them are still life threatening upto now. The injured have been taken to multiple private clinics around the country as this administration prevented them from using public health centres. Also, hundreds have been arrested including the deputy chairman of the main opposition party (Wadani). They have been put in private secret jails run by the president’s son around the country. We kindly ask you if you are honest " Why those apologising now, are become quiet and not for that massacring to these innocent civilians.

The so called soldier's administrated government and its secret security service headed by his naughty son, ought to be accountable for its deliberate and organized wild attacks on peaceful protestors, and I strongly believe that there should be independently international investigation, that brings to justice those who committed violence against civilian population. The threats and intimidation towards the public has been on the rise for the last five years.

After the demonstrations, the current dictaor of Somaliland at " Xaafad-tooyo" Appeared on national television and addressed the nation with a speech full of hatred status, inciting violence towards both the peaceful protestors and the opposition parties. He described the protestors as hoodlums. Secondly, he openly stated that the decision of Wadani party to elect as its Chair Mr. Hesri Haji Ali was not helpful and misguided.

He went further and clearly stated to declare a full scale war power of destruction under any cost. His rhetoric was reminiscent of the HUTU militia in the Rwanda genocide. It is very serious case which needs to be studied before it leads to civil war in Somaliland.

In conclusion, we urge the British Government & the rest of the world as whole take an urgent intervention to safeguard the human rights of every Somaliland citizen to exercise their rights of freedom of speech and peaceful assembly shrined in the Somaliland Constitution. We also urge the UN and involved countries to suspend its support to Somaliland's special forces Rapid Respond Unit (RRU) and the police forces which committed such heinous acts.

We also urge the British government to engage with appropriate International Human rights organisations including the International Criminal Courts for an urgent investigation into the atrocities committed by the regime in Somaliland in the past five years, holding those responsible to account regardless of their position of power.

Somaliland urgently needs its western friends to intervene in order to evert a much wider civil war that will certainly have a huge impact in this volatile part of the world.
