Mogadishu-Somalia: March 27, 2021:: The Somali Media for Environment, Science, Health and Agriculture (SOMESHA) delighted to acknowledge the active online media development webinar from the National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ) in cooperation with International Organization of Migration (IMO) on March 25, 2021.

Accrording to NUSOJ, the virtual workshop was desighned to equip Somali journalists with essential skills for accurate and safe reporting on covid 19.  Atotal of 31 journalists from Mogadishu and regional states including Galmudug, Hirshabelle, Southwest, Jubaland  and Puntland attended the three hours online training.

The activity was possible thanks to the generous funding from the Eurobian Union through the EU-IOM Joint Initiative for Migrants Protection and Reintegration in the Horn of Africa programme.

Despite the fact, Somalia has dealt with drought, localized displacement, heavy floods, and locust infestations the acute dilemma is still ahead because the arrival of COVID-19 could push the country into another crisis, Mr. Daud Abdi Daud SOMESHA, Secretary General fear.

"I have to urge journalists to build relationships with researchers who have a history of reliable and scientifically rigorous work and to build a stable of those types of experts to maintain accurate reporting”. Mr. Daud added
