Somaliland: Waddani Chair Returns After Prolonged Absence.
The chair of Somaliland's main opposition party, Waddani, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi "Cirro" returned home after more than three months overseas. The former speaker of the Somaliland
parliament, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi "Cirro" was given a large and
warm welcome by party members and a vocal group of supporters upon his
arrival in Hargeisa.
Speaking to the media, Abdirahman "Cirro"
spoke about the events that have taken place in Somaliland during his
absence, and strongly came out against the recent deal by the two other
Somaliland political parties Kulmiye and UCID.

"Cirro" stated that Waddani is ready and willing to participate in
scheduled parliamentary and local elections, but will not be forced to
do so without the addressing the issues such as the current National
Elections Commission (NEC), the election bill, and the distribution of
parliamentary seats.

Abdillahi "Cirro" castigated the administration of President Muse Bihi
Abdi for ruthlessness towards the certain sections of the Somaliland
community including the media and the destitute.
The head of Waddani, Abdirahman "Cirro" also
stated his intention to hold a comprehensive press conference after
conferring with senior party officials. This press conference is
expected to take place within the next few days.
